Transforming Small Business Participation in Energy Efficiency White Paper
Utilities are facing increasingly aggressive demand side management (DSM) and energy efficiency goals. From 2009 through 2012 in the U.S. alone, program budgets grew 44%1—with much of that spending allocated towards the most easily attainable measure installations for energy savings. To this end, energy savings will only become more difficult to achieve as goals continue to increase and utility program administrative budgets shrink year over year. This dynamically increases the need for greater efficiencies and a proactive, strategic approach to engaging customers and managing programs.
